Entre câmeras e roteiros a presença feminina nas equipes técnicas do cinema paranaense

Resumo

This research aims to quantify the participation of women in the technical teams of feature films produced through public policies within the scope of the Government of the State of Paraná. The analysis covers four calls for proposals conducted by the State Department of Culture for the **State Award for Cinema and Video** (2004, 2005, 2008, and 2012) and two other competitions executed by the department in partnership with the National Film Agency (Ancine): the **Call for Production and Distribution of Audiovisual Works** (2017) and the **Call for Production and Development of Audiovisual Works** (2019). It is important to highlight that these were the only direct funding calls published in the state so far. The roles of **screenwriting, film directing, and cinematography direction** were analyzed and quantified to verify the presence of women in these areas. Based on the collected data, the research discusses issues related to the **sexual division of labor** and **cinema as a gendered technology**. The hypothesis is that public policies for audiovisual production should include **incentive mechanisms** capable of increasing women's participation in technical teams. As a product of this research, a short film was produced.
