Resumo

This dissertation investigates the communicational practices of mathematics content creators on digital platforms, a phenomenon referred to in this work as educatubers. Based on twelve in-depth interviews conducted with Brazilian creators between January and February 2026, the research analyzes how these actors construct their professional identity, adapt their practices to the algorithmic logics of platforms, develop strategies for capturing and retaining audience attention, and manage their relationships with the digital communities formed around their channels. The theoretical framework articulates four axes: the professional identity of the educatuber, the platformization of culture, the attention economy, and the dynamics of participation and engagement. The findings show that the impact of these creators cannot be explained solely by pedagogical competence, but results from the articulation of different communicational dimensions — including the construction of a strategic digital presence, the permanent negotiation with algorithmic constraints, and the development of relational bonds with the audience. The analysis proposes the concept of the educatuber as a permanent negotiator to describe the condition of these creators, who operate at the intersection of multiple competing logics: pedagogical, communicational, algorithmic, and economic. As an applied product, the research proposes the event "Equação da Influência: Comunicação, Matemática e Plataformas Digitais" (Equation of Influence: Communication, Mathematics and Digital Platforms), conceived as a mediation device between creators, educators, researchers, and professionals in the field of digital education.
