Resumo
The Employee Value Proposition (EVP) emerged as an instrument for attracting, retaining and engaging people. It is a response to the new relationships between companies and employees, in which the shortage of skilled labor pressures companies to be concerned with the financial, functional and psychological dimensions of their employees. Although there are many studies that explore the concepts and benefits of the Employee Value Proposition, there is little scientific material that addresses the elaboration of an EVP. Using the scientific method of research (Action Research), applied in a medium-sized company that manufactures machinery and equipment, this work presents the steps of creating an EVP and fills part of this gap. Through a process of knowledge development with a practical and academic approach, the work explored the different cycles of action research, starting from contextualization and purpose, going through four cycles of (1) diagnosing; (2) planning action; (3) taking action, and; (4) evaluating action, until reaching the construction of an ideal EVP for the company.
