Resumo

Deforestation in the Amazon reaches one of the largest historical series of growth, and the forest is at risk of reaching its tipping point. Its degradation has global consequences, but also local effects, especially for indigenous peoples and traditional communities who live in the largest tropical forest on the planet. Support for productive activities with sustainable use is an important strategy for the protection of the Amazon Forest. The products of sociobiodiversity in the Amazon are a source of income for traditional populations, who play a fundamental role in keeping the forest upright. As it is a complex territory, many solutions have already been tested and many other initiatives are underway, being carried out by different actors of the chain in search of alternatives. E-commerce was already being used by communities, NGOs and partners to leverage the forest's bioeconomy. The Covid-19 pandemic had a huge negative impact on the health and income generation of indigenous populations and traditional communities in the Amazon, creating the need for new initiatives and the acceleration of some processes. In this context, electronic commerce (e-commerce) becomes a relevant tool for accessing the market and generating income for products from the forest's bioeconomy, in addition to an opportunity to expose the culture of traditional peoples and their importance in protecting of the Amazon. The solution that combines technology and innovation with traditional knowledge can leverage the commercialization of products from the Amazon's sociobiodiversity chains.
