Clima organizacionaldiagnóstico, intervenção e mudança, um estudo do caso na Belga Mineira

Resumo

The dissertation presented hereinafter deals with case study developed at the Rolled Products Department of Belgo Mineira de Vitória ES. Such study aimed, from analyzing the diagnosis of corporate ambient of the referred department, at identifying to what extent it is possible to raise the favorableness index of corporate ambient by means of diagnosis, analysis and intervention in the ambient by its very personnel. As our theoretical foundation, we took to studying the concepts of corporate ambient, characterizing elements of which it is made up, as well as the identification methodologies for the atmosphere in corporate ambient. The main method we have focused on is the one used by the Hay Group of Brazil, because of the fact that it was used by the author in his survey, although two other different methods for diagnosis are also presented in the Appendix. Furthermore, we have also elaborated descriptive background of the evolution of the capital-work worker, which added to the justification of the importance of such survey and also helped us fully understand some elements of the corporate ambient. theoretical approach on corporate learning and culture, motivation and leadership shall be made. We have carried out bibliographic revision on issues mentioned hereinbefore and tried to establish some possible causai relationships between such issues and the corporate ambient identified by means of the survey carried out in August, 1999. Thus, this paper presents the analysis developed by the author on the identification, intervention and changing process undergone by the corporate ambient among technical-operational workers of rolled products department. At first, we shall present the results of the corporate ambient survey carried out, as well as intervention strategies and actions identified so as to raise the favorableness index of factors that, in the ambient survey, presented percentage lower than the market average. Assertiveness or not of the respective interventions shall be presented by means of comparisons of ali diagnosis and intervention process with literary revision. We executed those comparisons during period of 14 months and developed such study with due comparisons between diagnosis data of corporate ambient and the analysis and changes observed (possibly result of the interventions carried out) from proposals of actions made by the very workers of Rolled Products Department.
