CEPAL: velhas e novas idéias

Resumo

A grande influência que as idéias da CEPAL exerceram no continente justifica que as analise em profundidade. As propostas do órgão evoluíram ao longo de sua vida institucional. Neste trabalho, expõe-se sucintamente, primeiro, as propostas atuais da CEPAL, e depois a concepção do sistema centro-periferia. Questiona-se sobre algumas de suas implicações e, finalmente, procura-se adequar certas perguntas sobre a nova proposta da CEPAL para o desenvolvimento da região. O artigo inclui uma extensa bibliografia sobre o tema.AbstractThe enormous influence of ECLAC’s ideas on this continent warrants their indepth analysis. The organizations’s proposals have envolved over the course of its institutional life. This paper succintly sets forth, first, the ECLAC’s current proposals, and then the conception of the center-periphery system. It looks into some of its implications and, finally, seeks to address certain questions as to some of its implications and, finally, seeks to addres certain questions as to ECLAC’s new development proposal for the region.
