Resumo

This article analyses the use of digital platforms to implement public policies, integrating individuals, companies and governments regarding the implementation of Agenda 2030. First, it shows the legal characteristics of the Agenda 2030 and the technical initiatives already in place to implement the social-environmental governance. After that the text points out some failures with respect to the current monitoring mechanisms and presents the advantages that the use of the technology of accounting distributed could bring. The main argument of this paper is that monitoring is critical to the effectiveness of global governance tools aimed at implementing the Sustainable Development Goals of Agenda 2030 and that the use of the blockchain has much to contribute to it, by coordinating antagonistic interests in the pursuit of common goals, quantifiable and verifiable. The methodology used was the qualitative analysis with documental, legislative and bibliographic research. © 2017 Centro Universitario de Brasilia. All rights reserved.
