As cooperativas de trabalho médico no Brasilanálise e determinantes de sua arquitetura organizacional

Resumo

This dissertation presents the study of the most relevant administrative dimensions in the organizational architecture of the medical work cooperatives. In light of the theoretical framework of some specialist authors in organizations and cooperatives an effort was made to understand, discuss, and analyze which would be the possibilities and applicabilities of such postulations. A historical retrospective was undertaken about cooperativism and particularly the medical work cooperatives, aiming to identify on what bases these were constructed and which were their needs to be met since their foundation. Within the bibliography avaiable about the subject we have endeavored to identify in each author his vision about the problems underlying the administration of cooperatives and the possible suggestions concerning managerial practices. We discovered that there is a convergence of opinions on the subject by the different authors, particularly as far as the professionalization of the administration of cooperatives is concerned and the lack of a uniform model able to encompass all the different aspects of every organization. It can therefore be concluded that due to the complexity of the cooperative organizations and the market requirements, it is no longer possible for cooperatives to maintain amateur administrators in their board of directors. It has also become evident that it is not possible to propose any kind of blueprint for an organizational structure in view of the present complexity and high degree of specialization of cooperatives.
