Resumo

Much has been discussed about the impacts of anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases that result in an increase in global temperatures and how this will negatively affect humanity. The consumption of fossil fuels is established as a notorious precursor to these emissions. In this context, the use of renewable fuels, with a lower carbon intensity emitted, appears as a mitigating measure for such environmental impacts. The present work aims to evaluate the environmental efficiency regarding the use of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium fertilizers in sugarcane cultivation for ethanol production in the southeastern region of Brazil. To characterize the agricultural environmental efficiency of the production of hydrated ethanol from sugar cane in the state of São Paulo in relation to the use of synthetic fertilizers, data from 96 plants were used: [1] indicators corresponding to agricultural carbon intensity classes calculated by RenovaCalc: (i) urea, (ii) monoammonium phosphate, (iii), ammonium nitrate, (iv) single superphosphate (SSP), (vi) triple superphosphate (TSP), (vii) potassium chloride (KCL), ( vii) other sources of nitrogen, (ix) other sources of phosphorus and (xi) other sources of potassium [2] indicators corresponding to the productivity calculation: (i) Total area, and (ii) Total production harvested for milling. it was concluded that based on the results obtained from the multiple linear regression analysis of the statistically significant variables contained in the first component, it can be stated that: the proposed theoretical model 1 conveniently estimates the agricultural carbon index with a level of 95% confidence.
