Resumo
The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the trajectory of expansion of postalservices in Santa Catarina through the opening of agency and postal lines in the integrationand formation of the state of Santa Catarina in the nineteenth century. Besidesthe introduction and closing remarks, the text is divided into three topics: a) a transportfunding analysis and communication through arising from the Treasury resources and thegeneration of constant deficits; b) a brief debate on the formation of this state territory ofthe nineteenth century; and c) the trajectory of the opening of agencies and line cards asa constitutive element of the state of Santa Catarina.
