A transformação do modelo de gestão do Theatro Municipal de São Pauloda administração direta para o terceiro setor na visão dos profissionais do Balé da Cidade de São Paulo

Resumo

This paper analyzes the transformation process of the management of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo (TMSP) from direct public administration to various partnership models with the Third Sector, adopted following Law No. 15.380/2011, which established the Fundação Theatro Municipal de São Paulo (FTMSP). The research aims to document and understand the perspectives of members of the Balé da Cidade de São Paulo (BCSP), the contemporary dance company associated with the TMSP, regarding the impacts of this change on institutional structure, artistic autonomy, and labor relations of BCSP professionals. It also captures the viewpoints of other stakeholders involved in the management of the CTMSP. The investigation employs a qualitative approach, based on documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews, and literature review. The results indicate that partnerships with Third Sector entities, following different publicization models, introduced new management practices, but also presented challenges in the relationships between artists, managers, and public authorities, necessitating ongoing improvement of cultural governance mechanisms.
