A influência da gestão da inovação digital na performance organizacionalum estudo de caso

Resumo

Innovations always had a spotlight and have contributed to the development and transformation of the economy and society. In a Digital Age, digital innovations become protagonists within organizations and are an indispensable component in the search for differentiation, competitive advantage, and market leadership, aiming to performance organization. However, the challenge of innovating digitally can be disruptive for many organizations, which can happen due to the delay in responding and keeping up with the constant digital evolution, lack or failure in technological and digital innovation, alignment of digital innovation strategies, and processes, besides affecting other areas of management within an organization. For this research, an exploratory case study was carried out in a global organization, through semi-structured interviews, with professionals who lead the management of digital innovation and by executives who benefit from these digital innovations in their specific areas, to lead the organization to achieve organizational performance. Given this context, this work examines and bring to light how the digital innovation management becomes an essential component for orquestration of new digital technologies, technological and digital innovation capabilities also the importance of digital innovation process, in addition, it presents how knowledge management, digital innovation portfolio and digital innovation project management are essential and must be management to influences on firm performance. This study presents theoretical contributions to the field of digital innovation management, as well as practical contributions to organizations that intend to adopt digital innovations to their businesses.
