Resumo

Purpose – The objective of the work was to identify whether the massive adoption of teleworking within the scope of the Attorney General's Office of the National Treasury influence the feeling of belonging of the Attorneys. Methodology – The study was based on bibliography and field research, the latter of which was carried out through a semi-open questionnaire, aimed at all National Treasury Attorneys (whether the total of 2038), drawing 182 responses and the field findings were analyzed in qualitative way. Findings – The results revealed that the adoption of teleworking did not affect the feeling of belonging of the National Treasury Attorneys in relation to the National Treasury Attorney General's Office. Permission for remote work increases the feeling of belonging, in the sense that the Attorneys understand that the trust and responsibility placed by the Institution bring value to the entrepreneur. Research limitations – The aim of using a semi-open questionnaire was to carry out qualitative research and reach a greater number of participants, which would not be possible in the case of interviews which, on the other hand, could better capture the set of ideas, expressions, voice intonation or even other questions that were not even considered in the work. The limitation is that it does not capture the effect, as there is no causal design. Practical implications – The study has practical applicability for Administration in general, especially for managers, in order to guide the forms of teleworking. It is also of interest to public employees/servants, in order to verify the advantages and disadvantages of remote work. The conclusions arising from the study will be able to support the type of governance to be followed, as well as guide managers and leaders in order to adapt to this reality.
