Rumo à gestão pública sustentávela Agenda Ambiental na Administração Pública - A3P na Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Ferreira

Resumo

This paper seeks to analyze the implementation of the Brazilian Federal Government's public policy called Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (in Portuguese: Agenda Ambiental na Administração Pública - A3P), which aims at supporting and encouraging public bodies that choose to join the program by inserting environmental criteria in their policies, in order to minimize the negative environmental impact of public administration activities. The Municipality of Porto Ferreira (São Paulo State) had its adhesion formalized in 2019, and was chosen for the analysis due to their expression of interest. Thus, quantitative and qualitative research was carried out, diagnosing the lack of knowledge about the subject and/or about A3P in a large part of the sample (38%), but also, in another part (58%), a lot of interest. This may be indicative that this public policy, which has been at a standstill, has a potentially fertile field to grow and develop. Recommendations were made based on the guidelines and thematic axes of the A3P, focusing especially on the subjects the research had pointed out as priorities (selective garbage collection, environmental education and solar energy), adding yet benchmarking data and knowledge from practical experience with the subject.
