Resumo
This text is part of the project Evaluation of Social Participation: Federal Advisory Bodies for Social Policies, carried through by the Department of Social Studies of Ipea. It focuses on Codefat (Advisory Body of the Fund for Support of the Worker) and presents a historic review both of the origins of that body and its institutional context in the Ministry of the Work and Employment as well as an appraisal of its relevance as a means for designing and applying policies of social protection for the brazilian worker.
