Resumo
The article evaluates, from the diplomatic perspective and the point of view of Brazilian interests, the increase, in recent years, of Brazilian productive investments in Paraguay. The neighboring country has characteristics that have attracted companies from Brazil in recent years, such as young workforce, flexible labor legislation, lower production costs, cheap and abundant electricity, macroeconomic stability and proximity and access to two major markets: Argentina and Brazil. The text reports the mode of entry and motivations for Brazilian investments in the Guarani State. It considers the investment attraction regimes in force in Paraguay. It analyzes some examples of the incipient productive integration between the two countries. Finally, it points out some of the benefits of Brazilian productive investments in Paraguay for the bilateral relationship
