Resumo

This current paper has as its primary objective to discuss the Early Childhood legal regulation and its contribution to the effectiveness of the right to education. The study briefly presents the relevance and the process of implementing Early Childhood as an autonomous area of the Law, with specific concepts and delineated parameters, based on the principle of intersection and dialogue of the various areas of knowledge. Besides this, the legal sources that contributed to the Early Childhood legal regulation were mapped and presented in a summarized form. The main focus was to analyze the right to education within the period of early childhood, which is implemented during the early child education, basically in elementary schools and day care centers. Thus, it was possible to observe that the Early Childhood legal regulation works in three distinct vortexes: (i) as a tool of interdisciplinary work; (ii) as a priority area in the development of public policies, and (iii) as a guaranty of quality education for the child. The study concluded that this is an area that requires interdisciplinary, intersectionality and active management for the development of quality public policies, besides the clear indication for the need of continuous capacitation and qualification of the professionals involved in early childhood education as a key factor for success of any action in this field.
