Resumo
The author evaluates the bilateral affairs between Argentina and Brazil in the beginning of the 20th century under the argumentation that the diplomatic axis in between both countries shaped a peculiar style of administration of the conflicts of their international life. In that sense, the article offers an interpretation over the construction of the Argentinean place in the Brazilian Foreign Policy during the Old Republic, analyzing this relationship in the light of the Brazilian strategy to face the Argentinean challenge.
