Resumo
This study analyzes the National Regional Development Policy – PNDR, which completed, in 2017, ten years of its institutionalization. Discusses this policy from its basic premises and theoretical conception. Points out the difficulties for its implementation within the Brazilian Federation landmarks and the action limits of the State, especially due to the absence of a national development project. Concludes with the need to rethink the regional policy as a life reproduction instrument and not for the capital accumulation, overcoming the contradictions presented by the PNDR.
