Ideias, presença e açãomandata coletiva Juntas na Assembleia Legislativa de Pernambuco

Resumo

Amid the contemporary crisis of representation in Brazil, new political practices emerged, such as collective mandates or shared mandates. The main objective of this research is, in dialogue with the literature on political representation and crisis of representation, to identify and analyse the performance of the collective mandate Juntas, which occupies the position of congresswoman in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Pernambuco. We seek elements to verify how this new form of political practice has tried to respond to the demands of representativeness through their form of articulation and the meanings of representation that seem to be contained in this format of mandate. Thus, the question is: how the collective mandate Juntas has acted in the legislative regarding political representation and the context of the crisis of representation? The research is developed with the methodological strategy of case study and with the techniques of document analysis and semi-structured interviews. Since this study is regarding an object in development, the present dissertation assumes an exploratory and descriptive character. At the end of the analysis, we argue that the collective mandate does not fit exactly into a specific model of representation, but inserts new elements into the debate to think about the exercise of political representation via parliamentary mandate. We conclude that the figure of the collective mandate may not solve the problems of political representation, but it shows strategic and innovative elements in the field of political representation via parliamentary mandate.
