Resumo
This study searched to evaluate the values of rural extension technical assistance (Reta) in Brazil according
 to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) data and point out crucial aspects
 of those activities in the Brazilian case. Two main findings must be highlighted: the relative stability of
 the real values targeted to the Reta activities in 1995-2021, and the importance of the public Reta
 for the majority of the Brazilian agricultural producers, even that there are variations depending on the
 country´s regions and the producers´ profile.
