Formação integrada para sustentabilidadeimpactos e caminhos para transformação

Resumo

Increasing efforts to incorporate sustainability into education in general, and into business schools in particular, have emerged in the face of sustainable development growing challenges. However, more than curriculum development, the complexity of contemporary issues calls for new educational models that integrate individuals (as subjects) to their environment and different sources of knowledge, which have been highly fragmented by modern disciplinary (subject-object) thinking. The purpose of this article is to present the case study of FIS – Integrated Education for Sustainability – a transdisciplinary course offered to undergrad students at FGV-EAESP, inspired by PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education). From students’ perceptions about FIS’s impacts, the article raises insights about the possibilities of individual transformation that an experiential and contextualized space may allow in the context of a business school, as well as the challenges identified in this process.
