EL PAPEL DE LAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS EN LA CONECTIVIDAD AÉREA DE LOS TERRITORIOS. EL CASO DE COLOMBIA

Resumo

This article analyzes the role of public policies in territorial connectivity, primarily domestic, using Colombia as acase study. The growth and evolution of Colombian air transport have been supported and driven by a set of publicand investment policies designed exclusively for the aviation sector and implemented almost continuously since theliberalization of the air transport industry in the country in the early 1990s, policies that are still evolving. Among themain findings of this study, it can be noted that, firstly, the liberalization of the air transport sector in Colombia andthe ongoing development of public policies for the sector, as well as public and private investment policies in airportinfrastructure, contributed to the progressive evolution of air connectivity between territories. And secondly, aviationpublic policies have not only contributed significantly to connectivity and territorial cohesion but have also boosted thesocioeconomic development of the regions.
