Resumo
This paper describes the semantic portal project being developed at CPDOC - FGV, along with all the initiatives that are being undertaken in order to achieve the final goal. Among those initiatives we can highlight the domain ontology creation, in the field of Brazil's contemporary history and document description, for the proper metadata supply to the documents from the archives of interest.
