Resumo
Based on the initiative called “The Billion Prices Project” (BPP), developed by Professor Alberto Cavallo of MIT, as described in Cavallo and Rigobon (2016), the project has created the potential to reduce the costs of gathering data and calculating traditional indexes, besides providing more disaggregated information with higher frequency regarding price levels.
