Resumo
This work aims to show how Villa-Lobos' legacy for scenic dance contributes to a new historiography of Brazilian music and to conceive more diverse methodologies for interdisciplinary research. It is a study in the musicology of dance, a new methodological approach, both technical and interpretative. Musicological analyzes focused on ballet do not often take into consideration the dance itself. However, 
 dance often allows us to present new musical sensibilities and compositional characteristics, capable of a finer understanding of a musical composition. Therefore, studying the relationship between music and dance is essential for understanding the dramaturgy of the ballet and interpreting it.
