Resumo

The main interest of this project is to organize an Oral History Programme to the Municipal Council of Rio de Janeiro to create a historical collection of recorded interviews with the councilors, about the history of the Legislative of the new municipal district of Rio de Janeiro created with the fusion of Guanabara State and Rio de Janeiro State, in 1975. This collection of interviews will compose a database of oral statements that will serve as a wellspring of information about the role played by the Municipal Council in the history of the city, the life stories of the councilors and the understanding of the legislative process, as well as an important instrument of collecting, preserving and publishing a more complete record of the past of the institution and its memories.
