Resumo
Obesity is a global health problem with great social and economic impact. Health systems have sought ways to combat and prevent the disease, however companies have or should have an important role in the care of their employees. The objective of this dissertation is to analyze whether the winning companies of the 25th PNQV, have programs/strategies for the prevention and confrontation of obesity, within their global proposal in the commitment of corporate sustainability. An interview was conducted with the coordinator of the award and analysis of the videos of the 15 winning companies. The results of the research show that of the 15 winning companies, 12 of them mention PHC as a driver of their health programs, 3 of them do not inform in the video (Cielo, Oracle and Grupo Marista). Eleven companies mention in their videos subsidies for physical activity practices. The companies that mention specific obesity programs in their videos are Fundação Copel, CCR, Greenbier and DASA (which has a clinical and surgical program). The 4 companies that mention an obesity program also have PHC, specialty outpatient clinics, chronic disease programs and subsidies for physical activities as the driver of their programs. The study concludes that if we consider that the winning companies of the 25th PNQV present occupational health programs, which follow the guidelines of Primary Health Care, then in theory, they present treatment for obesity. However, we also saw that the issue of overweight, regardless of what the WHO says (25 kg/m²), is directly associated with other endemic chronic diseases that also enter the primary care radar. Regardless of whether a specific program for obesity is presented or not, within the prevention and diagnosis of PHC, the obese employee will be attended.
