A burocracia e o setor produtivouma investigação da relação para o Brasil no período de 2012 a 2018

Resumo

In the present work, we intend to study how the size of the state bureaucracy is associated with the productive sector in Brazil. To achieve this objective, important theoretical references are used, such as Bresser-Pereira (2007), Boll (2010), Carraro et al. (2011), Mueller (2013), Melo, Sampaio and Oliveira (2015), Fernandes and Palotti (2019) and Cardoso and Marenco (2019). The methodology used uses panel data for the States of the Federation plus the Federal District in the period from 2012 to 2018. The results indicate that state bureaucracy has a significant direct impact on the productive sector in states where the public sector is larger, that is, there is a reduction in the opening of companies where there is more bureaucracy.
